# Creating a Call

To create a call, the process has gotten even easier. Follow the steps below to get your call setup and dispatched

1. Fill in the basic call details including **type, nature, and location** and then select the **create** button

2\. After clicking the create button, you will be prompted with a screen to edit all aspects of the call. This allows for the 911 call taker to easily get a call created and handed over to a dispatcher. Or, if you have a single dispatcher, this process allows for a seamless call creation process

3\. In the screenshot above you can edit all aspects of the call designated with the **yellow boxes** as well as assign active units to the call by selecting the **Unit Assignment** section

4\. Within the unit assignment you will be prompted with recommended fire and LEO units based on their **last call activity, district with relation to call location,** and **unassigned units**

5\. You can always edit a call after the fact by selecting it with a single **left click** from the **Active Assignments** box on the CAD
