The Portal is the primary page within RocketCAD. It's job is to make sure you can manage your account and access the various areas of the system. The portal can direct you to the Admin panel, Owner panel, MDT, CAD or Civilian menu.
If you have been pre-approved as an Administrator of your community, you can enter into the Admin Panel from here. Clicking this option will send you to a new page.
If you have been pre-approved as an Administrator of a particular department, you can open up the Department Management panel from here. Once clicked, you'll be prompted to select the department you wish to enter into. Once selected, you'll be sent to a new page.
The Support tab allows you to get in touch with our team (assuming you're an Unlimited Community Owner), sends you to this documentation or sends you to where you can join other Community Owners and help troubleshoot together!

The changelog tab allows you to check in on any changes to the system. This is NOT a changelog for your community, and is not controlled by a communities owners. Instead, it's managed by the RocketCAD Development Staff.
The AMC option re-directs Owners to the Account Management Center. You can learn more about this page in a different article. This will send you to a new page.
The Logout option will sign you out of your account and redirect you back to the login page to log back in. This will send you to a new page.
The preferences tab allows you to manage your personal preferences. You can read more about this below.
The Home tab is the primary dashboard for all users. It's here that you can access all other system options. Beginning towards the top, your Community Name and (if enabled) your Community's System Message. This is how you can determine which community you currently have selected.
Moving down this page, you'll be greeted by the system and prompted with a new options below. It's here you can switch your community by selecting "Switch Community" after your name. This will prompt you to either select a different community or join a new community.
This area gives you the stats on your latest patrol! Why not get another one started up?
The Community View shows all of your communities that have enabled the News & Updates feature. You will also receive a small indication of how many updates are unread. Simply click on the community to begin reading updates.
If you do not see any communities listed here, it's possible your Owners have not enabled this feature.
The news view is the feed of news for you to view! Each of these messages are created by your Community Owners for you to read.
The performance tab gives you a live view of your current statistics. Refreshing the page will ensure these are up to date. Keep doing more and compete with your fellow members!
The progress bar indicates your level of completion of the Security Checklist. Complete all 7 to ensure maximum privacy & protection!
We recommend following all 7 recommendations listed on this page. Simply click the button underneath the description to complete a checklist item.
The changelog sends out all important RocketCAD system updates. These are not created by your Community Owners, and is only managed by the RocketCAD Development Staff.
This input displays your current name. Do NOT include any identifiers in this area, they will be added in individually when logging into patrol.
To change your name: Simply type in the updated name and click outside the box. Your change will be automatically saved.
This input will never display your current email, for your privacy. In case you're not sure which email you have configured, you can change it by clicking "Change"
To change your email: Click "Change" and enter in your current password and new email.
To change your Steam Hex: Modify the text inside of the box then click outside of it to save. Your change will be automatically saved.
You MUST add "steam:" to the front of the Hex when putting it into the CAD
To change your Discord Client ID: Modify the text inside of the box then click outside of it to save. Your change will be automatically saved.
The Change Password option allows you to change the password of your account. In order to change your password, you will be asked for your current password (to help verify your identity on shared computers).
Depending on whether or not you have enabled or disabled 2 Factor Authentication, this button's text will change. We highly recommend enabling 2 Factor Authentication. Simply click the button to either Enable or Disable 2 Factor Authentication.
The System Wide darkmode option allows you to enable darkmode across all menus of RocketCAD. This option will also enable darkmode on all CAD, MDT and menus throughout the system.
If the option is illuminated, darkmode has been enabled (the Portal will also become dark).
Right Menu Alignment refers only to the menus on MDT Style 2 and MDT Style 4. This places the menu that is typically located on the left side of the menu, on the right.
This option is recommended for left handed players using a touch screen.
Your Client ID will be used in troubleshooting errors on the system.
The leave button allows you to leave your current community. Once clicked, you'll be asked to confirm the action. Leaving a community does reset your user for that community, and is not recommended if you will be re-joining shortly after leaving.
From the Patrol Configurations area, you can view all associated data with your Patrol Configurations. You can NOT edit/modify a configuration once created. You can only delete patrol configurations by clicking the Red Trash Can icon.
You can begin a patrol by select the option directly underneath your community name. This will direct you to the patrol onboarding steps. Learn more from
